Well, well. Who'd have thunk it? It's not all over after all. TFOD have slipped up. Fat lady not yet singing.
Whilst some of WGS' decisions ARE mystifying, if he delivers title number 4, who are any of us to give him pelters?
Let's wait till Sunday 24 May around 5pm I say more…

Great to hear early season golf tales. But the Sun King's missing the point when he complains about Mike's serious approach. You need to get the lessons, practice your short game til you're bored stiff and never forget that every shot's a prisoner. A bit of misery's essential if you're ever going to really enjoy yourself!
Work on that short more…

I like the way they play football, but they are very bad losers - and so is their manager. We've played them twice in the Champions League groups stage and we gave then a bit of a scare - especially at Celtic Park. I wonder if they or any of the big English clubs would be half as good if they did not get the SkyTV money. Are you a fan? more…

Good comment, ND and I wouldn't argue with much of it. I do wish McStay had played somewhere else. He would have excelled in a good Liverpool or Man U side, but I guess they never came calling - a shame really. more…

Well well. Some good stuff here. Ferguson or McStay? Rangers or Celtic? It's a couple of toss ups. The gap at the top of the Premier League was 3 points the last time I looked. I tell you what though, they're both better than Dumbarton.
McStay and Ferguson are interesting cases. And probably living proof that spending your career playi more…

Fair points well made, but I think there is mounting evidence of fans of both sides getting fed up with poor quality and voting with their feet. Results do count, but people's emotional attachments to clubs might wane of they don't see the style of football they love to watch - even if it's only occasionally. more…

An appropriate review of an apt performance. Being your part-time, student supporter, subsisting only on the highlights reel from legitimate sources such as the beeb, or illegitimate sources such as either youtube or botched stetanta at their work, I could say no more.

Thanks for report, good stuff. I'd take issue with a couple of things though (well it is a blog)
Not sure the object is to score goals if you'd just qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League by getting a 0-0. Success is what it's about? Definitely not Walter's job to entertain celtic fans (or Gordon's Rangers fans), in fact I r more…

I refuse to rise to this bait. He's a decent enough looking player, but you're putting too much presure on the lad. Let's see what he's achieved after a couple of full seasons. Come to think of it, I think he would be best served by moving to a bigger club - perhaps in the English Championship. more…

NSW - sorry about the mistaken identity. I believe experimental prose fiction is the new rock'n'roll, but then rock'n'roll is over-rated. In a similar vein I believe that staying in (and making soup) is the new going out! more…
